Kipos Publishing is a micro-publishing project started with the idea of finding some books written by authors that could add something special to the world of books. Defining what is special is difficult and very subjective, yet all authors that offer captivating texts align with Kipos Publishing's aim: to cultivate a private garden for the mind to get nourished through the power of words.
The World Through My Eyes: Short Stories of Magical Realism

What do we focus our attention on? Can we develop a different awareness of the world that surrounds us? And most important, what do we learn from our experience as observers?
Reality perhaps is a construction of our mind. The short stories in this book show a version of the real world through the eyes of the author. If reality is not as objective as it appears to be, then we can live very simple moments immersed in the magic they have to offer.
All of a sudden simple daily events raise in us the awareness that we, the observers, are both passive participants in this world as well as agents that influence reality. The author shows us that reality – as we perceive it – magically unveils a symbolic layer of cues that trigger our reflections. In these short stories, our attention is a constantly moving target that pushes us to recalibrate our understanding of our environment.
This book explores the themes of sensations (sense of liberation, accomplishment, anxiety, denial, regret, dreams, curiosity for the world around us, envy, hypocrisy, awareness of change), and external agency (cause-and-effect, coincidences, uncertainty, ancient wisdom).
